Red Wiggle Caterina Mete welcomes identical twins to famous kids group after undergoing IVF

The Wiggles’ family has welcomed its two littlest members following the birth of Red Wiggle Caterina Mete’s twin daughters on Tuesday.

After undergoing IVF and fertility challenges, the group’s newest mother beamed with happiness as she balanced Dolly and Gigi in her arms from hospital.

“Double the joy, double the love! I am so thrilled to announce the arrival of my precious twin girls, Dolly and Gigi,” she said.

“My heart is overflowing with happiness as I welcome to the world my two little miracles.”

The 43-year-old performer had featured heavily pregnant in recent content, even gesturing to her baby bump so young viewers were aware of her maternity journey.

The Wiggles wasted no time in expressing their excitement at meeting the adorable pair.

“We are absolutely thrilled for Caterina and the arrival of her beautiful twin girls. Her journey to motherhood has been truly inspiring, and we can’t wait to meet these adorable new additions to The Wiggles’ family.”

Remarkably, the identical girls are not the only set of twins connected to the ever-growing group.

Celebrating the newest births with a song and dance, The Wiggles have released a song called Double Happy which features Purple Wiggle Lachy’s twin daughters Lulu and Lottie, and younger Purple Wiggle John alongside his twin brother Lenny.

In late June, former Justice Crew star John announced he was expecting a baby boy with his wife Jessie.

Despite donning the red guernsey for the first time in 2021, Caterina had bounced between roles like a hot potato over her 20-year tenure, beginning as a friend to Dorothy the Dinosaur..
