Docker Rory Lobb speaks about the schoolyard bullying he endured, sends messages to other bullied kids

Docker Rory Lobb showed outstanding courage when he played in agony after breaking his shoulder against Sydney.

With his coach on death row his toughness shone through.

But the 26-year-old said when it came to being brave he's faced much bigger challenges. Like his time at school.

At the same school attended by Eagle Nic Naitanui and Docker Michael Walters, Lobb was bullied so badly, his dad pulled him out of school.

"Public school, you know you get that sort of stuff ... I got bullied from a young age ... I was 14 when I left there,” he said.

He started fly-in fly-out work in the Pilbara and Darwin shortly after.

Lobb has a message for kids being bullied - speak up early and often.

"I held it in for too long ... if you hold it in it's a lot harder,” he said.

“Every time you talk to someone it makes it a bit easier.”

One of the game’s biggest and strongest players says he now hopes he can be an inspiration to bullied kids everywhere.

"I feel like it's made me ... I had to do it tough.”
