Albany broker Eli Hayes crowned WA broker of the year at The Adviser Magazine’s Better Business Awards

Albany broker Eli Hayes is “absolutely blown away” after she was crowned WA broker of the year at The Adviser Magazine’s Better Business Awards.

The Mortgage Choice broker — who was also named regional broker of the year at the Pan Pacific ceremony in Perth on March 6 — said the dual award recognition was validation of her hard work and commitment to her customers.

“I am absolutely blown away,” she said.

“It was such an honour being recognised as a finalist so to win not just one, but also taking out the top award of the evening was quite surreal.

“Being named Western Australian regional broker of the year and broker of the year is validation of the work I’ve put into my broking career over the last nine years.”

Ms Hayes, who was also recognised as best regional broker in 2024, said the awards reflect the trust in her team and herself to help her customers achieve their home ownership dreams.

“Most of my customers are first-homebuyers, investors, self-employed borrowers and migrants,” Ms Hayes said.

“As the proud daughter of immigrant parents, I love being able to help the local migrant community in Albany realise the great Australian dream of property ownership.”

Mortgage Choice WA State manager Michael Theseira congratulated Ms Hayes on her awards and said it showed her commitment to her clients in and around Albany.

“Mortgage brokers in regional areas are so important to providing choice and access to a broad range of lenders that may not have a physical presence in the region,” he said.

“Eli is a shining example for the broking industry, going above and beyond for her customers.”
