46-year-old male and 40-year-old female charged with eight offences in Albany car theft and police chase

Albany police have charged two people for their alleged roles in an aggravated robbery and home burglary, accusing them of leading police on a chase through Albany in a stolen car. Albany officer-in charge Sen. Sgt. Carlos Correia said police have charged two people with a combined eight offences. The pair were arrested on Lockyer Avenue in Lockyer on Tuesday after they abandoned the white Ford Falcon they had allegedly stolen from a Rowley Street property earlier that morning, police say. A 46-year-old male was charged with armed robbery, aggravated home burglary, no authority to drive (suspended), stealing a motor vehicle, driving recklessly and recklessly driving to escape pursuit. He will appear in Albany Magistrates Court on Wednesday, April 16. A 40-year-old woman was charged with receiving stolen property and stealing a motor vehicle and will appear in Albany Magistrates Court on May 1. Sen. Sgt.
