Northampton Netball Association start their season tomorrow night in what is expected to be one of the most closely fought competitions in years.

The seven-team competition has seen a re-jig of players, hopefully meaning all sides will be in the hunt and all sides will consistently have strong numbers.

The competition will run on Friday nights until early September and treasurer Tanya Husbands said there were a handful of junior players in the senior sides.

“On paper all sides look really even and it should be a good, close comp this year, ” she said.

“There a few Midwest Tigers players spread between the sides as well, with the likes of Bridgitte Clune, Kelsey Rounsevell and Zoe Sellers.

“It will be really good to see how the season plays out and we’ve got a few more of the junior players coming into the competition and it will be good experience and good exposure for them.”

The seven sides are Bruisers, Emeralds, Ewes, Panthers, Salties, Stingers and the Yahoos (Yuna team).

The kitchen will be open for meals and for all inquiries call Ms Husbands on 0447 341 055 or Joanne Luxton on 0429 977 603.
