A 30-year-old learner driver has been charged after allegedly driving with a blood alcohol reading above 0.2.

Police said the woman was picked up at 1am on Thursday for a random breath test.

She was then taken to Geraldton Police Station where it is alleged she underwent a breath analysis test which gave a reading of 0.234.

Police also allege the driver was the holder of a learners permit and was in breach of her conditions.

It is further alleged she was not accompanied by another person in the vehicle and was not displaying “L” plates.

She was charged with driving under the influence and unauthorised driving by a learner and will face Geraldton Magistrate’s Court in November.
