Suns shine at Country Colts carnival

The Northern Suns have had their first Landmark Country Colts carnival win, defeating Regional Districts in the final 4.3 (27) to 2.5 (17) at Bendigo Bank Stadium yesterday.

The Suns, a combination of Great Northern, Avon, North Midlands, Mortlock and Central Midlands Coastal Football League players, were defeated by Regional Districts on Friday in the qualifying games, but bounced back to take the title in the final.

Moris Comeagain was the leading goal kicker for the carnival and was awarded with All Star selection, along with fellow GNFL players Chris Leonard, Gabriel Parfitt, Shannon Broad, Harrison King and Jaidyn Paradella.
