Moulin Rouge Masquerade Party and official launch

Dress to impress in the style of the great music halls of Paris. This is the official program launch, with drinks and canapes and fabulous entertainment by Twisted Vaudeville Circus, PCYC, House of Jezzebelles and Blue Mercy.

Friday, October 2, 8.30pm-11pm, tickets $50, 18+ event.

Spiegeltent

The majority of the Festivals on the Foreshore events will be held in the spectacular De Parel Spiegeltent. This travelling venue was built in 1905 and has been used through the 20th century as a dance hall, bar and entertainment salon.

Spiegeltent’ is Dutch for “mirror tent”.

There are a number of great events in the amazing Spiegeltent, so make sure you check out the full program for a list.

Various events will be held in the Spiegeltent over the nine-days.

Junkadelic

The Junkadelic Brass Band will be showcasing their awesome street rhythms.

Think of New Orleans-style funk grooves, Latin flavours and upbeat jazz. Head on down for your free workshop with this group of talented musicians and bring your tin cans and plastic bottles from home.

Saturday, October 3, 9am-noon on the Foreshore.

Moonlight pleasure garden

The garden is a treat for late night revellers. Stunning circus performances, fire dancers and a mind-bending teaser from Aerial Manx. You’re definitely in for a treat.

Multiple nights, starting Saturday, 5pm-midnight.

Twisted cabaret

Aerial Manx, the world’s greatest sword swallower and extreme sideshow performer, presents Not Dead Yet. Supported by PCYC’s exquisite circus cabaret.

October 7, 7.30pm-10pm $25pp, 18+ event.

Water jet packs

This high-adrenaline activity will certainly not disappoint. Feel like you’re flying on water with this fun beach activity. As part of the Festival Family Beach Day, this event is one the whole family will enjoy. Filled with roving entertainers, Apex Mini Olympics and Volleyball against Violence.

Water Girls Geraldton — Down Winder Paddle For Cancer

This non-competitive event is for intermediate to advanced female paddlers. The route is Town Beach to St Georges Beach. Cost is $45, registration closes October 1, no registrations on the day.

October 10, 9am-4pm, $75 per person for jet packs.

Foreshore Festival Markets

Market Day stalls, art, food, roving entertainers and local buskers. Junkadelic will also hold workshops as part of this.

October 3, 9am-noon.

Stan Maley Garden Tours

Join Geraldton’s gardening guru Stan Maley on a tour of some of his favourite gardens. Tours will run from October 8 and 9 from 9am-noon. Pick up and drop off will be at the Geraldton Regional Library carpark on Chapman Road. Tickets are $20 and bookings are essential, purchase from QPT website, Civic Centre, library and Visitor Centre.

October 8-9, 9am-noon, $20, pickup from library carpark.

Night Kites

This is something you don’t get to see often and it will most definitely be a sight to see. Night Kites will grace the skies of Geraldton for Festivals on the Foreshore for a spectacular display.

October 2, 7pm-8pm, free.

Dragon Boat Classic

Dragon Boat Classic event held at on the Geraldton Foreshore.

Sunday, October 4 at the Geraldton Yacht Club.

Finale Party

Headliner Mojo Juju takes the festival out with a bang. She’ll be rocking the big stage with loads of soul. She will be supported by the fabulous Blue Mercy.

October 10, 8pm-11pm, $25pp, 18+ event.

The Set List

Headline band I Know Leopard supported by local bands The Inks and Carfax.

The Set List is an innovative new concert format, designed to ignite participation among our young audience (14-22).

The Queens Park Theatre is excited to bring the Set List to Geraldton featuring a local youth programming panel, which were the driving force behind the great ideas and band selection.

Local youth were given the opportunity to design a poster for this exciting tour and the chance of a lifetime to perform as opening act for the tour.
