A 29-year-old Ellenbrook woman has been charged with stealing petrol from a Geraldton service station at the weekend.

It is alleged the woman drove her Holden Commodore to a service station at Wonthella about 10am on Saturday, put 30 litres of petrol in her car and drove off without paying.

Police stopped the vehicle a short time later and the woman was arrested and charged.

She will appear in Geraldton Magistrate’s Court at a later date.

Police have also charged a 21-year-old Northampton man over an incident at a Geraldton nightspot on the weekend.

Police attended the licensed premises about 12.45am yesterday and located the topless man allegedly attempting to fight both staff and patrons after being refused entry.

He was arrested and charged with disorderly behaviour in public.

He will face court at a later date.

Police said further charges may be laid as investigations were ongoing in relation to an alleged assault.

To report crime, contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or call Geraldton Police on 9923 4555.
