Woman on false name and drug charges

A Geraldton woman allegedly gave police a false name before they discovered she was carrying concealed drugs.

Police allege they saw the 39-year-old acting suspiciously on Green Street, Spalding, at 11.10pm on Friday, June 26.

When asked her details, she allegedly gave police a false name and date of birth.

They then searched the woman and allegedly found a clip seal bag containing a small quanity of a white crystal substance.

The following day, while in custody, they searched her again and allegedly found a concealed bottle containing 0.7 grams of methylamphetamine.

The woman was charged with breach of bail, false details and two counts of possessing a prohibited drug.

She appeared before Geraldton Magistrate's Court on Saturday morning and was remanded to appear this Wednesday.
