Carnarvon teenager Jacob David Blain faces court accused of child porn, secretly filming women showering

An alleged teenage peeping Tom is accused of secretly filming women in their homes while they showered. Jacob David Blain, 19, is also accused of producing and possessing child exploitation material after detectives executed search warrants on two East Carnarvon addresses earlier this month, seizing mobile phones and electronic devices. Another 19-year-old man was charged with one count of possession of child exploitation material after the searches. “Forensic analysis of these devices identified five different categories of child exploitation material and surreptitious video recordings of adult women inside their homes in private situations such a showering, being naked or in underwear,” a police spokeswoman said. “It is alleged the recordings were taken outside the homes of the adult women through windows between October 27 and December 2.” Mr Blain appeared before the Geraldton Magistrates Court today via video link from Greenough Regional Prison charged with 20 counts of unlawfully installing an optical surveillance device, 11 counts of trespass, and one count of producing and possessing child exploitation material. He was remanded in custody to appear in Geraldton Magistrate’s Court again on January 9. The other 19-year-old man, who has yet to be named, is due to appear before the Geraldton Magistrates Court on January 6.
