Armadale incident: Pair charged after 18-year-old man allegedly assaulted at home on Clarence Road

Detectives have charged two people over a brutal home invasion where a teenager was attacked inside an Armadale home. Police and paramedics were called to a property on Clarence Road before an 18-year-old man was located with “several injuries” following an altercation with two other people about 9.30pm on Monday. Armadale detectives allege two people — a man and woman — entered the home without the occupants permission before an argument with the 18-year-old turned violent. “The argument escalated with the man and woman allegedly assaulting the 18-year-old victim,” a police spokeswoman said. All three people were known to each other, police said. The two accused, from Kelmscott, allegedly fled the scene before they were arrested by police. A 31-year-old man has since been charged with aggravated home burglary, assault occasioning bodily harm and two counts of impeded another person’s normal breathing or blood circulation by applying pressure to the neck. A 32-year-old woman has been charged with aggravated home burglary and common assault. The teenager was taken to Armadale Hospital for treatment. The 31-year-old man will face Armadale Magistrates Court on Tuesday, while the woman is due to appear in May.
