It was an expensive morning for a Geraldton motorist who was allegedly caught speeding twice in one hour today.

Dongara police stopped the 36-year-old Utakarra man about 9am on Brand Hwy near South Greenough after he was allegedly clocked travelling 135km/h in a 110km/h zone in a Toyota Hilux.

Police said the man told them he did not notice he was speeding.

He was then stopped about 9.50am by Three Springs police on Brand Hwy near Arrowsmith, allegedly travelling at 132kmh in a 110km/h zone.

He was fined $800 and copped six demerit points.
