Emergency services rushing to woman, who crashed all-terrain vehicle in dense bushland in Balladonia
Emergency services are trying to reach a woman who has been seriously injured in an all-terrain vehicle rollover five hours away from the closest highway.
A woman in her 50s was driving an ATV in bushland in the Nuytsland Nature Reserve in Balladonia, about 500km west of the South Australian border, when it rolled just after 10am on Saturday.
The crash has left the woman with serious injuries, but it could take hours for emergency services to reach her due to her remote location — about five hours south of Eyre Highway.
St John WA crews, including a paramedic in a 4WD, State Emergency Service volunteers, and police, are on their way to help the injured driver.
The RAC Rescue helicopter will also be flying to Balladonia to hoist the woman to safety.
