Aztecs take down Lightning and book ticket to Geraldton Netball Association grand final against Kazuals

The Aztecs are off to another grand final after beating the Lightning in the preliminary final 47-36, and will face Kazuals once again in the decider. Aztecs previously had an unprecedented 36-game winning streak that spanned over multiple seasons, before losing earlier this year to Kazuals. Since then, Aztecs fell to the Lightning in the regular season and then again to Kazuals in the qualifying final. However, Aztecs didn’t fall two weeks in a row, as they took care of business against the Lightning to secure themselves a spot in the grand final, which is a rematch of last year. In the grand final last year, Aztecs claimed victory 66-55, but this year Kazuals will be looking for revenge and hope to take down Aztecs for a third time this season. The grand final will take place at the Geraldton Netball Association Indoor Courts on Friday, September 15, at 6pm.
