Beresford beach to close
From Monday, February 12, Midalia Beach and carpark will be closed for “enhancement works”.
The works are part of the City of Greater Geraldton’s $23.1 Beresford Foreshore Coastal Protection and Enhancement Project, which began in January 2017.
Works along the 1.8km stretch of foreshore will include landscaping, building public facilities, a playground and replacing other amenities lost to coastal erosion.
A fence around the area was erected on Wednesday, February 7.
The beach can be accessed through gates until Monday.
The estimated date of completion of the works is the end of June.
The City is requesting people exercise caution, and obey all warning signs and directions in the area.
