Bundiyarra Aboriginal Community Aboriginal Corporation launches Indigenous Battle of the Bands Geraldton event

Local Aboriginal and Torres Strait musicians are being called to the stage as Bundiyarra Aboriginal Community Aboriginal Corporation holds the Indigenous Battle of the Bands 2023 with more than $8000 in prizes. Indigenous bands across the Mid West will have the opportunity to showcase their talent at the musical contest this weekend, with bands from as far as Carnarvon taking to the stage and performing their choice of song for a chance to win great prizes. The event will be held at the Bundiyarra building on 56-86 Eastward Rd on Saturday, June 24, with the first act kicking off at 10am. Prizes include a first place prize of $5000 cash, and second and third prizes include Opus Living Music gift vouchers for $2500 and $1000. All the stage equipment and sound technology will be provided by 65 Thirty Events & Entertainment. The winners will be decided by audience vote so the community is urged to join the fun and support their friends. This is a family friendly event so strictly no drugs or alcohol will be allowed on site.
