The Rotary Club of Geraldton will hold a parking lot fundraiser on Sunday to help pay for their community outreach activities.

Describing it as a “pre-Christmas fundraiser where people can bring in their trash for cash,” Rotarian Di Gilleland said the event will be similar to a market.

“People put items they don’t want into the boot of their car, and they register to come here and sell them,” she said.

Those interested in selling will be charged a registration fee to support the Rotary club, but they are able to keep profits from the sales.

Mrs Gilleland said it was a great way to get a little extra cash in the lead-up to Christmas.

“I was really blown away the last time we did this,” she said.

“I think I floated for a week.

“We had an amazing response.”

The Rotary Car Boot Sale will be held in the Mitchell and Brown parking lot off Chapman Road.

Stallholder set up is from 6am and sales begin at 8am.

To register, contact Mrs Gilleland 0419 854 413.
