Cheapest, most expensive suburbs for renting revealed

Wonthella has taken the crown for the cheapest suburb to rent in in Geraldton for the June quarter.

According to the Real Estate Industry of WA, the median rent price in the suburb is $185 a week, having dropped $35 in the last three months.

However, the average number of days dwellings spent on the market before they were leased came in as the second-longest time, taking 71 days to be leased.

Closely behind Wonthella is Beresford at $195 a week, Rangeway and Spalding at $200 a week and Geraldton at $225 a week.

The most expensive suburbs to rent homes in are Wandina at $350 a week, and Sunset Beach and Drummond Cove at $303 a week, followed by Tarcoola Beach and Mount Tarcoola at $300 a week.

Mount Tarcoola and Wandina had the shortest number of average days a property was on the market before it was leased, taking 46 and 47 days respectively.
