City of Greater Geraldton and Mid West Ports Authority back on board supporting the 2025 Shore Leave festival

The City of Greater Geraldton and Mid West Ports Authority are back on board supporting the fifth edition of the Shore Leave festival, which will dish up a local flavour more intense than ever before. The event that celebrates the best of Mid West food and culture is being delivered by locals for the first time. The drawcard event has again attracted the support of the city and MWPA, both pitching in $110,000. “Shore Leave festival is always a big hit with both locals as well as visitors and I am sure this year will be no different,” City of Greater Geraldton mayor Jerry Clune said. “The city along with the port have always been staunch supporters of the event and I look forward to seeing our community come together, enjoying all the wonderful happenings that will be going on and welcoming the many visitors who will be stopping by to join in the fun.” MWPA CEO Damian Tully said he was eager to see what the event had in store this time. “Shore Leave festival aligns brilliantly with the port’s commitment to both the Mid West and tourism,” he said. “I encourage anyone with an interest in great food, live entertainment and experiencing the best of the Mid West to block out the dates and climb aboard for Shore Leave festival 2025.” Shore Leave 2025 will be delivered by Tourism Geraldton Mid West. Last year, 26,000 people attended the event with similar numbers expected in 2025. Shore Leave 2025 will run from Thursday April 23 to Sunday April 27, with a range of free and ticketed events and attractions. Marquee ticketed events include the Abrolhos Long Table Lunch and the Mid West Paddock to Plate at Yanget Farm on the outskirts of Geraldton.
