The City of Greater Geraldton’s two-hour free parking period trial started on May 9 in two carparks in the CBD.

The two-hour free parking period will be trialled at Carpark 2 at the Geraldton Regional Library on Chapman Road, and Carpark 3, on the corner of Anzac Terrace and Durlacher Street.

Motorists are required to enter their license plate number into the ticket machine to retrieve a ticket.

Additional paid time can be purchased and a valid ticket must be displayed on the dashboard of the vehicle at all times.

From November last year up until yesterday, the City allowed free all day parking at Carparks 2 and 3 because of the CBD Underground Power Project.
