The City of Greater Geraldton’s Winter School Holiday Program will return on Monday.

Mayor Shane Van Styn said he was thrilled to announce the program’s return after the COVID-19 health crisis saw the autumn program postponed.

“This combined effort between the City and external providers is the perfect tool for parents and carers who are looking for ideas to keep kids busy this break,” he said.

City-ran events include two-day soccer clinic in partnership with Football Australia and free yoga classes for all ages and skill levels at the QEII Centre.

The program is also sporting some new additions, including Dungeons and Dragons gaming sessions and skate coaching workshops with Infinity Skate WA.

The City has partnered with the Geraldton Youth Regeneration Organisation to put on a free screening of the documentary 2040.

For those looking to get active during the chilly months, Midwest Aerial and Acrobatic Studios will be running a winter circus intensive course and Midwest Surf School is offering surfing lessons.

For those who would rather keep warm or practice social distancing, program regulars Museum of Geraldton and Ngala are offering plenty of activities that kids of all ages can take home and complete.

The Mullewa Youth Centre will also be hosting a variety of one-off events for older kids to participate in.

Information on dates, times and how to register is available on the City’s website.
