City Scenes: Photo of the Week by Geraldton photographer Travis Petford shows glorious view of Pink Lake

We are launching our new photo of the week segment, City Scenes, with a bang from above. It’s a bird’s-eye view photograph of one of the region’s most curious and underrated attractions — the Hutt Lagoon Pink Lake. This image showing the lake’s stunning colouring was taken by local photographer Travis Petford. Located about a one-hour drive north of Geraldton, Pink Lake neighbours the small community of Port Gregory. Petford said he was on tour with Midwest Adventure Tours in Kalbarri when they stopped to photograph content for social media. The local photographer is inspired by everything nature and loves what he does for work. The remarkably clear picture captured with a DJI Mavic Air 2 drone camera proves the Mid West contains some of the most stunning natural beauties in the world.
