Council urges motorists to read signs to avoid parking fines

While parking in Geraldton is now free, the City of Greater Geraldton is reminding people that time limits are still enforced in some parts of the CBD.

Free all day parking is available at Carpark 1 on Foreshore Drive opposite Dome, Carpark 2 on Chapman Road behind the Geraldton Regional Library, and Carpark 3 behind McDonalds and Hogs Breath.

Other free all-day car parks include Carpark 4 at the Post Office, Carpark 5 which is The Stirlings carpark adjacent to Queens Park Theatre and Carpark 6 behind the SGIO building on Cathedral Avenue.

There are still various one hour and two hour free parking spots, and the City advises people to read signs and follow the hour restrictions as rangers still patrol these areas.
