Geraldton Aquarena limits numbers and swim time
The numbers of people admitted to Geraldton Aquarena will now be limited to 100 to comply with COVID-19 virus precautions.
City of Greater Geraldton staff will monitor the numbers of people present and issue wristbands to patrons on arrival.
The wristbands will be returned on departure and then sanitised by staff.
People who want to use the pool may call 9956 6600 to see if it has reached this new capacity, and are asked to limit their time there to 45 minutes.
UPDATE 20/2/20, 5.17pm: The city has advised the Aquarena’s outdoor pool would be closed for the rest of the season following damage to the recirculation pipes.
A city spokeswoman said the Aquarena’s indoor facilities would continue to be operated in compliance with the Australian government’s advice about COVID-19.
