Geraldton boxers Kyson Crudeli and Anthony Little step into ring at Serbian Club in Perth
Geraldton’s boxing scene saw two of its own, Kyson ‘Little Babe’ Crudeli and Anthony ‘The Hammer’ Little, step into the ring at the Serbian Club in Perth.
The local pair fought on Saturday, April 27, representing Peacocks Boxing Gym Coach Jake Peacock.
Crudeli was the first to compete, stepping up two weight divisions for the fight.
The outclass seemed too great of a hurdle to overcome, as Crudleli ultimately lost by a narrow 5-0 decision.
His opponent, Qais Khyon, proved to be a formidable adversary, edging out Crudeli in each round.
However, Crudeli’s relentless body shots showed his resilience, even if they could not secure him the win.
Following the loss, fellow Geraldton fighter Little took to the ring and made an impressive debut, securing a hard-fought victory with a 3-2 decision.
Despite the aggression from opponent Isaac Harrison, Little utilised his reach advantage effectively, landing clean shots and dictating the pace of the fight.
Even when faced with adversity, Little remained composed, firing back with precision and landing more impactful blows.
Peacock said the trip was a valuable learning opportunity and both fighters would come away with added experience.
“I am very proud,” he said.
“They will learn heaps from this as we look to stay busy in preparation for the Australian Club Championships coming up in Adelaide in a few weeks.”
