Geraldton Detectives have arrested the man accused of a robbing a liquor store and assaulting an employee after more than a week allegedly spent on the run.

Police have been searching for 42-year-old Chad Holland since Sunday, November 13, when he was allegedly involved in a violent robbery at Cellarbrations in Wonthella with co-accused Jasmine Lee Dalgety.

Police believed Mr Holland was in the Geraldton area, but hadn’t ruled out potentially travelling to the metropolitan area.

On Saturday November 12 about 6pm, police allege Mr Holland and Ms Dalgety attempted to steal seven bottles of alcohol worth $550 from the store with violence. It’s further alleged a female store attendant was assaulted during the robbery.

Detective Sen Const Joe Connolly alleged a stolen white Toyota Corolla was used by the duo to flee the scene, which was recovered at a later stage.
