Geraldton man charged over violent home invasions

A Geraldton man has been accused of assaulting four people – including a 95 year-old-man – during a string of violent home invasions in Perth last night.

Police allege the 46-year-old assaulted a 70-year-old woman, 72-year-old-man, and 95-year-old man, when he was confronted during a burglary at a Carson Street, East Victoria Park home.

He is also accused of assaulting a 48-year-old man during a home invasion on Hill View Terrace, East Victoria Park, and of stealing two handbags from another home on the same street.

The man has been charged with four counts of aggravated home burglary and commit, two counts of aggravated robbery, two counts of aggravated common assault, aggravated assault occasioning bodily harm, two counts of stealing, and stealing a motor vehicle.

He is due to appear before Perth Magistrate’s Court today.
