Geraldton police seek assistance into a serious assault during Waggrakine burglary, man hit in back of head

Geraldton police have issued a public appeal as they investigate a serious assault during a home invasion on Tuesday morning when a man in his 30s was allegedly struck in the back of his head after confronting a burglar. On Tuesday, May 9, police say said an unknown man entered a property on Constantine Road in Waggrakine and disturbed the home occupant, a man in his 30s. Police said the victim confronted the burglar and a physical altercation ensued. “It is believed a second man entered the premises and struck the victim in the back of the head,” the police spokesperson said. Both accused men fled the area across a neighbouring paddock towards Amar Court. Police did not provide a description of the suspects.
