History-making teenager Aiden McAuliffe is still bowling along in lawn bowls.

Aiden, 14, was a member of the WA fours which won a silver medal in the national under-18 championships in Queensland earlier this month.

Two years ago, he teamed with Vince Knight to win the pairs championship at Mullewa and also in the Batavia Bowling League.

The Year 9 Nagle Catholic College student bowls for Mullewa.

“Aiden took up bowls because his grandparents, his uncle and I play it,” dad Anthony McAuliffe said.

“He concentrated on cricket last year but is back with the bowls and from what we’ve been told, he’s got a good future.”

Cory Day from Carnarvon and Ashton Hagboon from Goomalling were also in the fours side.
