With just one game to play before the Christmas break, the Demons hold a commanding lead in first place of men’s A-grade while the other three teams are separated by only six points, meaning the battle for the second spot remains open. The Demons face the Rats this Saturday, as star players Joel and Zacc Cross have consistently performed well for the Demons, collectively scoring over 50 goals this season. The B52’s will compete against the B52’s Relics, with the Relics side aiming for a change of fortune and their third win this season. Jack Deschamp and Kurt Tunbridge showcase considerable talent in the pool for the Relics. The Rats have faced challenges with substitutions in key games, impacting their fitness levels. Darcy Wiffen and Luke Neuwert demonstrated impressive performances in the last round and hope to continue their good form over the weekend. In women’s division one, the B52’s have been the team to beat, dominating most games and displaying passion when overcoming deficits. The last round saw them come back from a three-goal deficit to win comfortably, players like Emma Smith, Abbie Benham, Maddie Pead, Gemma Dix, and Evie Prout have stood out. They will face the Rats this Saturday, who have struggled this season due to reduced player numbers and forfeiting a couple of games. In B-grade men’s games, the B52’s face the Demons, and the Relics take on the Rats.
