Women’s A-grade water polo is bracing for the highly anticipated rematch of last season’s thrilling grand final between B-52’s and Demons this weekend.

All clubs are diving back into action across various grades as the Geraldton water polo season enters its third round.

The women Demons will be looking for redemption after they lost to B52’s in last season’s decider, 9-8.

Both teams head into the clash off the back of dominant early season wins and will be keen to have their key players back in the line-up.

Zoe Sellars and Sian MacDonald have been in top form for Demons, while the B52’s trio of Evie Prout, Aimee Hagan and Emma Smith have been causing headaches for their opposition so far this season.

The Rats A-grade women’s team takes a break this weekend with their game against the composite side, using the time to test out strategies in preparation for their next competitive match.

In men’s A-grade, B52’s are looking to secure back-to-back victories when they go up against Rats.

Brothers Leo and Daniel Prout, along with Mick Rock, have already shown excellent early season form for B52’s.

On the Rats’ side, Darcy Wiffen and Luke Neuwert will aim to strike early and curb B-52’s offensive momentum.

Demons will face the composite side, hoping to continue building their form.

In women’s B-grade, B52’s will face Demons on Friday night, while Rats will take on Serpents on Saturday afternoon. The Serpents have shown promising form recently and will look to establish control early to carry forward their momentum.

The men’s B-grade matches are B52’s against Rats on Friday and Demons versus Relics on Saturday afternoon.

In men’s C-grade, the lone match will pit B52’s against Demons on Friday afternoon, while women’s C-grade will see Serpents Blue going up against B52’s, Serpents Green facing Rats Orange and Demons Black battling Rats Black.
