Geraldton’s weekend the calm before the storms and high swells next week
Despite wild weather down south, it will be mostly dry in Geraldton this weekend before the City soaks in up to 15mm of rain and soaring wave heights on Monday.
Surrounding inland towns can expect closer to 7mm, with our friends in Kalbarri bracing for up to 18mm of rain.
Bureau of Meteorology duty forecaster Catherine Schelfhout said the top of the week would bring damaging winds to the Mid West.
“The other factor of interest is the signifiant wave height. We are looking at a swell of six to seven metres,” she said.
“It’s probably best to stay out of the waters Monday and Tuesday.”
