Juvenile suspects break into Noodle King and Sweetly Simple Cakes, Geraldton police appeal for public help

Geraldton police are investigating two burglaries at a noddle store and cake shop on Durlacher St at the weekend where juvenile suspects have smashed in the doors, damaged tills and stole petty cash. Police say between 10pm and 2am on Saturday suspects forced entry to the Sweetly Simple cake store by smashing the glass on the front door and kicking in the bottom panel, crawling inside. Once inside the suspects have moved to the front counter area and broken the till located on the counter. Officer-in-charge Sen. Sgt Chris Martin said the till and coin tray were scattered across the store but no cash was stolen at the time of the incident. “Indication suggests that juveniles were potentially involved given the small area which they’ve used to climb through the premises,” he said. It’s understood the store opened last week under new ownership and will be replacing their front security lights and CCTV. Between 2pm and 9pm on Sunday, police allege suspects forced open a lock on the front door of Noodle King and rummaged around the store. Sen. Sgt Martin said a small quantity of cash was stolen. Police believe the same suspects are responsible for both incidents and are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with information to contact police. “Any community information would be greatly appreciated,” Sen.
