The tiny town of Mullewa is the star of the latest episode in a popular podcast which dropped last week.

The seven-minute episode of the Storytowns podcast will shine a light on the town’s historical buildings as well as the ever-popular wreath flower.

City of Greater Geraldton mayor Shane Van Styn was excited for the Mullewa-focused episode.

“The Storytowns podcast is a high-quality production that many travellers turn to for entertainment while adventuring through our great county,” he said.

“The episode also features some local talent, including Dr Charmaine Green and Glenda Blyth.

“With a line-up of guests who together have an incredibly deep understanding of Mullewa’s history and culture, this episode is sure to be a ripper.”

Storytowns is an interactive geo-located podcast tour in which travelling adventurers take listeners off the beaten path to meet locals and discover new experiences.

Previous Storytown tours include a Melbourne podcast tour and silo art podcast tour.

“The Mullewa episode has been made possible by a subsidy from Regional Development Midwest, and for that we are very grateful,” Mr Van Styn said.

The Mullewa episode of Storytowns will be part of the Wildflower Country podcast tour, which is now available.

Storytowns is available wherever you get to your podcasts, as well as via the Storytowns app.
