Olympic FC have claimed the double in the Midwest Soccer Association’s Knockout Cup, winning both the men’s league and reserves titles over the weekend.

The tournament, as the name suggests, was a knockout-style event held concurrently with the regular season, similar to other soccer leagues around the world.

Olympic FC and Abrolhos FC contested both the league and reserves on Saturday, August 3.

It was jubilation for Olympic, who took home the league title 5-1 at Geraldton Rovers Soccer Club in Utakarra.

Daniel Lennard was named best-on-ground for his efforts.

It was a similar story in the reserves, as Olympic broke the hearts of the Vikings with a 4-2 victory.

Olympic’s Brad Pass was awarded player of the match for his influence on the contest.

In the womens final La Fiamma took on Chapman Athletic.

The two sides have been the best in the Midwest Soccer Association, sitting first and second on the regular season ladder respectively.

La Fiamma were too strong on the day, defeating Chapman Athletic 5-0, with Olivia Bidwell claiming best-on-ground honours.
