Police seize cash, jewellery in Wonthella raid

Police seized hundreds of dollars in cash and a large amount of jewellery in a raid on a Wonthella property this morning.

Officers executed a Misuse of Drugs Act search warrant on the property at 7.23am and seized $780 in cash, 43 items of jewellery, 0.77 grams of methamphetamine, scales, clipseal bags and a small amount of cannabis.

Sergeant Jeremy Ashworth said police believed the cash and jewellery may have been stolen or illegally obtained.

The value of the jewellery has not yet been established.

Three women have been charged with possessing prohibited drugs, permitting uses of prohibited drugs and unlawful possession.

Police are still investigating.
