Police treat Geraldton car fire as suspected arson

Police are investigating two suspected arsons in Geraldton.

A Holden Barina parked in a Milford Street carport went up in flames about 5am today.

Police said when emergency services arrived at the scene the fire had already taken hold and the car was destroyed.

Police are also investigating fire damage to a garage in Scott Road, Rangeway, after an incident about 6.30pm on Saturday.

Detective Senior Sergeant Levinia Hugo said police believed the two incidents were not related.
