Rangeway man charged with drugs, weapons charges

A man was charged yesterday after Geraldton police allegedly uncovered meth, ammunition and a smoking implement during a search.

Officers made the arrest with the help of police dog ‘Ghost’ of the Mid West-Gascoyne Police K9 Unit.

A 26-year-old Rangeway man was charged with drug and weapon offences.

Geraldton police tweeted about the incident last night.

#Team5 and #K9 on the hunt locating a 26 year old Rangeway man getting around on a dirt bike,” the tweet read.

“Search conducted locating a quantity of ammunition, methamphetamines and a smoking implement. Subsequently charged with those offences. #sniffingoutcrime#dogday #fb”
