Towns Football Club celebrate 70th anniversary with unveiling of all-star team and auction

Towns Football Club celebrated their 70th anniversary last Saturday night, hosting a function at their club rooms to mark the occasion. More than 160 past players and supporters attended the night and it was one of the best functions many have been involved with. The club unveiled their ‘all-stars’ team of the past 70 years and auctioned off commemorative black-and-gold jumpers — the colours worn in the club’s inaugural year — which raised more than $600. Current coach and club champion Dale Baynes said for the current players to experience the night, to see the camaraderie and success spread over 70 years was inspirational.
