Traffic stops lead to multiple arrests

Geraldton police have charged three people after recent traffic stops allegedly uncovered drugs, drug paraphernalia and a knife.

A 43-year-old Geraldton woman was charged with possession of a prohibited weapon after police allegedly found a knife during a vehicle search on Zimmri Street, Karloo, about 3am on Friday.

At about 10.30 that night police allegedly found a small amount of cannabis after searching a passenger in a Nissan sedan they had stopped on Tramway Road, Waggrakine.

A 33-year-old Waggrakine woman was charged with possession of a prohibited drug.

Earlier today, a 27-year-old Geraldton woman was charged with possessing drug paraphernalia after police allegedly found a meth pipe while searching a vehicle on Alexander Street, Utakarra.

All will face Geraldton Magistrate’s Court at a later date.
