A 31-year-old man and a 34-year-old woman faced Geraldton Magistrate’s Court this morning, after police impounded a Toyota on Tuesday night and allegedly found $1 million worth of meth in the vehicle yesterday.

Police stopped the vehicle travelling north on the Brand Highway at Mount Adams, between Geraldton and Dongara, about 10.30pm.

Police allege the 31-year-old driver did not have a valid driver’s licence.

Yesterday, detectives executed a warrant on the seized vehicle and 1 kilo of meth was allegedly found, which has an estimated street value of $1 million.

Blair James McKinnon, 31, and Jenna Kaye Booth, 34, both from Geraldton, have each been charged with possession of a prohibited drug with intent to sell or supply.

They made brief appearances before Magistrate Donna Webb and did not enter pleas.

The police prosecutor told the court the offence carried a maximum penalty of life imprisonment.

Both were remanded in custody to appear on November 8.
