Vintage speakers stolen from Dongara drive-in

Police are appealing for information after thieves stole 26 vintage speakers from the Dongara drive-in.

The theft was reported today, but Dongara police said it was unknown when the theft occurred because the drive-in had been closed for the winter months.

Although the speakers were no longer functional, they had been kept for nostalgic and cosmetic reasons.

He said police hoped someone with information would come forward.

“It’s a real disappointment for the community,” he said.
