‘Speeding’ driver ‘pushed by wind’ in Geraldton
We know it gets windy in Geraldton, but police weren’t buying this motorist’s excuse for allegedly speeding.
The sheepish motorist allegedly travelled 127km/h in a 110 km zone on Edward Road, Bootenal, about 1.30pm today.
His response to police: “The wind was pushing me.”
Three Springs police, who intercepted the man, tweeted this in response: “And excuse of the day goes to ...”
The driver was fined $200 and given two demerit points.
