Kalgoorlie-Boulder Cricket Association MVP honour for Sunrisers star

Sunrisers all-rounder Aravind Chegonda’s 350 runs and 12 wickets earned him the 2024-25 most valuable player prize at the Kalgoorlie-Boulder Cricket Association’s recent awards presentation.
Chegonda average of 35 with the bat was complemented by a bowling average of 23.08 that helped Sunrisers to nine wins during the qualifiers.
Goldrush’s Jason Knoll swept the batting awards with 481 runs at 40.08, and teammate Dan Smith’s unbeaten 118 was the season’s leading score.
St George’s Lindsay Pankhurst led the bowling averages at 10.13, and teammate Rowan Doab had a competition-best 31 wickets.
Sunrisers’ Nara Jorige turned in the best bowling figures of 6-2, and Goldrush’s Josh Hourigan led all fielders with 14 catches.
Goldrush’s Josh Chapman was judged the 2024-25 players’ player, and Nathan Harte’s many years of loyal service to the KBCA was recognised with life membership.
