Railways Football Club is mourning the death of four-time premiership player and life member Cyril Linto, aged 92.

Linto worked for many years with the Agricultural Department and was transferred to the Goldfields in 1959 for what was expected to be a few years.

He went on to play 107 league games for the Panthers and, upon joining the committee in 1961, served in a variety of roles, including president and league director.

His sons, Doug, Paul and Warren each played for Railways, and those strong on-field links continue today through his grandson, Jordan.
