A youth was yesterday charged over a Bluff Point car theft and Spalding burglary in April.

Police will allege the Spalding 16-year-old climbed into a Mercedes Benz Sprinter at 3.50am on April 15 and planned to drive away, but was disturbed by the owner and fled the scene.

At 10.50pm On April 20, he was allegedly among a group who went to Brigades Football Club, Green Street, Spalding, who forced a side door and stole alcoholic drinks.

He has been charged with stealing a motor vehicle, aggravated burglary and stealing.

He will face Geraldton Children’s Court on August 11.
