Driver almost four times the limit, say police

A 31-year-old man has been charged after allegedly driving while almost four times the legal blood alcohol limit.

Police allege the driver was stopped on Chapman Road, Bluff Point, on Sunday, after being seen weaving from side to side.

He was taken to Geraldton Police Station where he underwent a breath analysis test which allegedly gave a reading of 0.196 grams of alcohol.

He was charged with driving under the influence and will appear before Geraldton Magistrate’s Court on November 20.
