From fiery science experiments to throwing sponges at the principal, Strathalbyn Christian College students had no shortage of excitement at the school’s Family Fun Day.

More than 500 friends, families and students turned out to support the annual fete held recently at the Strathalbyn campus.

Visitors enjoyed a variety of activities involving carnival games, science displays and entertainment by the All Things Dance troupe, school bands and the primary choir and solo performances from Antonia Thorpe and Jess Short.

Marketing and community relations officer Anna Hollander said she was glad to see so many smiling faces.

“It was awesome to see so many people from the community come out and enjoy the sunshine and the wonderful atmosphere of our Family Fun Day,” she said.

Students also displayed their work in an art exhibition — with the overall prize going to student Brooke Smit.
