A Geraldton motorist could face a drug charge after she allegedly tested positive to methamphetamine last night.

The 28-year-old allegedly tested positive in a preliminary roadside test when pulled over on Brand Highway, Dongara, at 9pm.

She was taken to Geraldton Police Station where she then allegedly tested positive to a formal test.

She could face a charge of driving with a prescribed illicit substance in oral fluid, depending on laboratory results.
